For the sake of understanding traffic to my site and guaging interest in what I make, I use the OSS analytics software Umami. Umami is a privacy respecting web stat tool that does not store or display any privacy invasive data such as IP address etc. It doesn't allow me to identify any individual user in any way at all, all the data it shows me is aggregated and anonymised. It does not use cookies to function and is fully GDPR compliant.
I self-host umami on servers hosted in Europe on my own VPS.
