I'm an art school graduate who taught himself how to code, but all I ever really wanted to do was play music.
This site has no explicit purpose but to be my avatar on the internet. I hope you enjoy your visit. It's a work in progress - expect more of interest soon.
I've been involved in a variety of interesting activities over the years, including:
Building an incredibly basic robot for use aboard the ISS as part of their ISSET: Mission Discovery program, encouraging school children to take an interest in space exploration. The robot was sent on SpaceX's first successfully reused CRS Dragon (CRS-11)
Helping launch a platform for protecting peoples' freedom of movement at public demonstrations (featured on The Guardian, Le Monde and Boing Boing). My logo ended up on display in the design museum for their Nope to Hope exhibition.
I'm the frontman and guitarist for stoner punk band Hearse Pileup
I won a short film competition for SONY's Bloggie Touch
I was involved in the code breaking effort around the 11B-X-1371 mystery, and even appeared (briefly) in a channel 5 documentary about 'Slender Man'. The link was tenuous at best as a goofy Halloween thing, if you want a more detailed breakdown of the thing then you can always take a read of the article I wrote here
I have a highly opinionated custom WordPress workflow that relies heavily on Timber. It's not for everyone but I like and recommend it, so I opensourced it as WoodChippr on Github.
I volunteered to be part of a project for the Commonwealth Youth Exchange Council; helping write and teach a short course in web development and animation
I'm an avid blacksmithing enthusiast, I have forged my own viking utility knike under the tutleage of Owen Bush at Bushfire Forge
I also locked myself out of my bedroom, taught my self to pick the lock using a length of clotheshangar wire
